Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Warri Rail Stations

In my work redesigning the Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Warri stations, I undertook a transformative shift from a freight-oriented infrastructure to a passenger-centric system. The core principle of my approach was employing passive design strategies to ensure efficient and natural ventilation within the buildings. By incorporating elements such as strategically placed windows, shading devices, and proper insulation, I maximized the utilization of natural airflow, minimizing the need for mechanical ventilation systems. This not only reduced energy consumption but also enhanced the overall comfort and well-being of the passengers. Through this redesign, I aimed to create a sustainable and user-friendly environment that harmoniously blends functionality with eco-consciousness.
