This project completed as an architectural designer for scalar architecture focuses on a transformative façade renovation for a building in Manhattan, utilizing a modular angular design approach. By blending the charm of the original brick side walls with contemporary aesthetics, the renovation aims to breathe new life into the structure. The key element of this design is the incorporation of tessellated aluminum panels, carefully arranged to create a visually captivating pattern. This modular system allows for flexibility and adaptability, enabling easy installation and future modifications. The juxtaposition of the traditional brick and modern aluminum panels creates a dynamic and harmonious architectural statement, revitalizing the building while respecting its historical context.
